White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she is unsure whether President Donald Trump will read Hillary Clinton’s new book examining what she believes prompted her 2016 election loss.
During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Sanders said she did not know whether Trump would read the whole book titled “What Happened.”
“But I would think that he’s pretty well versed on what happened and I think it’s pretty clear to all of America,” she said.
“I think it’s sad that after Hillary Clinton ran one of the most negative campaigns in history and lost and the last chapter of her public life is gonna be now defined by propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks and I think that’s a sad way for her to continue this form,” she continued.
While promoting her personal campaign autopsy, Clinton has laid blame on individuals she thinks contributed to the downfall of her campaign, including her primary challenger, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and former FBI Director James Comey.
As for Trump, Clinton suggest he was emboldened by operatives working on behalf of the Russian government, as well as by sexism and misogyny.
As of Tuesday, Clinton's book is the number-one bestseller on Amazon.
